8th June, 2018, the “Zhejiang Made” regional public brand head for “The Belt and Road” release conference at ZJITS was held in Ningbo, China. At the event Hape China received the first batch of “Zhejiang Made” certificate for its foreign-funded enterprises that benefit Hape Group in trade cooperation with countries along “The Belt and Road”.
“Zhejiang Made” is a regional public brand created and managed by the Zhejiang Brand Construction Federation that comprehensively reflects high-standards and high-quality enterprise and products, and includes the basic concepts of “excellent quality, independent innovation, industrial synergy and social responsibility”. It evaluates and awards the level of enterprise management and advanced level of product quality and technology.
Hape China and Panasonic Electronic China are the first two wholly foreign-funded enterprises to be awarded a “Zhejiang Made” certificate. Mr. Peter Handstein, the founder and CEO of Hape Group, attended the conference to receive the certificate and participated in the enterprisers’ interview. Mr. Handstein said: “Hape is doing children's products. For children, the safety, standards and the quality are far more important than the quantity. As “Zhejiang Made” is set up to support quantity, quality and, surely I am more than happy. As a German company, joining this program to help make better products for children is our entire goal.”
“The advantage is that once manufactures obtain a ‘Zhejiang Made’ certificate, it becomes easier to cover more countries along ‘The Belt and Road’, save testing time and decrease lead time…It is an important tool that makes business easier.” added Mark Lohman, the SGS Global Electronic Visa Officer, in a TV interview.
Supported by government policies, “Zhejiang Made” is being by more and more countries along “The Belt and Road” route. Obtaining the certificate will help Hape toys to gain market access in more countries along “The Belt and Road” and further deepen the promotion of trade cooperation along the way.
