(Ningbo, China) On June 8th, the 2017 Mayor’s Forum between China and Central & Eastern Europe was hosted by the CPAFFC (Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries) and the Ningbo Municipal People's Government. Governors from Romania and other Central & Eastern European countries were invited to participate in the forum, where pragmatic discussions about city transportation between China and Central and Eastern Europe will be taken place.
In order to understand the status and development of the economic and transportation plans between China and Central & Eastern Europe, Stericǎ FUDULEA, Secretary General of the Business Environment Department of Romania, and Cristina MARINESCU, Deputy Director of the Romanian Embassy in China visited Hape China on the same day, where they talked to Jason Zhou, Executive Vice General Manager of Hape, affirming and admiring Hape’s development and economic links to Romania.
Early in 2013, Hape opened a Romanian office in Avrig. Hape's factory in Romania, covering 10,000 square meters, mainly produces plush and wooden toys, providing local residents with a range of employment opportunities. In addition, Hape launched two educational projects, carpentry and sewing, in local vocational schools for the re-education and re-training of young people aged between 16 and 19 years old. Those achieving outstanding practical performances will subsequently have the chance to visit Hape factories overseas for one year of training, and will be an employment priority upon graduation.
