November 7, 2023, Hape Group and DEKO RAME S.R.L. have entered an agreement for the former's acquisition of 85% stakes in the latter. Upon the transaction’s completion, Peter Handstein, Ioan Morariu and Diana Matei - the dedicated shareholders - pledged to continue to lead and manage DEKO RAME’s business, supported by its 100 plus existent team members in Romania.

DEKO RAME is a renowned furniture & home decoration manufacturer from Romania, which provides good service customer care, high-efficiency production lines, a flexible product range, creative design and product development. The addition of DEKO RAME will undoubtedly further strengthen Hape’s global leadership position in Europe's wooden products manufacturing scene and beyond. Additionally, DEKO RAME’s access to new clients and customers will be bolstered by Hape Group’s global distribution capabilities. Without a doubt, this strategic acquisition not only expands Hape’s presence in Romania, but it also aligns neatly with our broader investment strategy.

In November 2022, Hape integrated the Romanian Baby Furniture Manufacturer E-KID into its group structure, helping bring E-KID to the next level. The acquisition of DEKO RAME - the second big step for Hape’s investment in Romania - will further help the brand foster a more sophisticated, experienced, and systematic production base in Europe.
